Gene Eddlemon, MD
Dr. Eugene Eddlemon has been in private practice since May 1996 focusing on general and vascular surgery. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomathematics in June 1981 from La Sierra College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Eddlemon earned his Doctor of Medicine in June 1985 from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. From 1985-1990, he completed his residency in Integrated General Surgery at Wright State University School of Medicine. Dr. Eddlemon followed with a fellowship in Peripheral Vascular Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Medicine from 1990-1991. He later went back and earned a second clinical fellowship in Endovascular Surgery from Stanford University Medical Center in 2007. Dr. Eddlemon is board certified in both General Surgery since 1991 and Qualifications in Vascular Surgery since 1993. He is also certified as a Radiography and Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operations since 1996 and is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider since 2008. Dr. Eddlemon is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the American Medical Association, the California Medical Association and the Butte-Glenn Medical Society. Dr. Eddlemon also served in the United States Air Force from 1981 to 1996, where he retired as a Major.
Bill Watson, MD
Dr. Bill Watson attended California State University, Northridge and San Diego State University. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Watson completed his internship and residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center. Dr. Watson is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr Watson left the military in 2003 after spending 16 years in the US Air Force to join Orthopedic Associates here in Chico. He specializes in sports medicine including shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery, ligament reconstruction, fracture care as well as hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgery. Dr. Watson lives here in Chico with his wife, Theresa and three daughters.
Ray Yip, MD
Dr. Raymond Yip graduated from Pacific Union College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He then earned his M.D. from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1985.Dr. Yip completed internship in general surgery at Pontiac General Hospital in Michigan and completed his Residency in 1989 at Loma Linda University Medical Center, with his four year emphasis on pediatric and regional anesthesia. He holds certifications in both of anesthesiology and medical examiners. Not only is Dr. Yip an anesthesiologist at Skyway Surgery Center, he proudly serves as their Medical Director. Dr. Yip enjoys water skiing, softball visiting marine aquariums and travel.
Senior Vice President of Operations, NSH
Charlie Smith joined NSH in 1999 with responsibility for hospital acquisitions and development including physician syndication. Most recently, he has been responsible for operations oversight of several NSH surgery centers and hospitals throughout the country and joint venture initiatives involving hospital systems, physicians and NSH. Prior to joining NSH, Charlie was with National Surgery Centers, a leading operator of physician joint ventured surgery centers throughout the country, and was co-founder and CEO of Auburn Pain Rehabilitation Medical Clinic. He received his law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School, Master of Science from the University of Arizona and Bachelor of Arts from Monmouth University.
